IX International Pole Vault Meeting, Szczecin 2013 (images)

The ninth Szczecin International Pole Vault meeting, held at Plac Lotników in the city center on 15th August, 2013, was won by the German, Karsten Dilla in a play-off.

Both Dilla, and his fellow German, Tobias Scherbarth, had cleared 5.40 meters, but Dilla succeeded in vaulting 5.60 meters in his fourth attempt to claim victory.

The Szczecinianin, Przemysław Czerwinski, who had also cleared 5.40 meters, but on his third attempt, was in third position.

Unfortunately, two-time World Championship medalist, Brad Walker, from the United States, was unable to compete in the event because of stomach flu.

The pole vaulters were unable to match their personal bests in the competition because a strong breeze hindered their vaulting.
